Feel the Freedom Onboard a Scooter Motorcycle

Do you want to have the spirit of freedom, fun and adventure paying closer attention to new sights, sounds and smells ? This is possible onboard a scooter. Can you imagine that just with the simple twist of a throttle, you’re on your way to experiencing everything around you with raised awareness and a fresh perspective?  Scooter makes it all so easy, inexpensive and environmentally friendly.

Yes. Just focus on the thrill and adventure of the ride. With an automatic twist n’ go transmission, upright riding position and the security of  steel frame, an exceptional average fuel economy which means far less expensive than even public transportation users. An average of just $8 fills up your tank.  And let’s not miss the importance of the clean-running of a scooter. Parking? So easier.Simplicity itself ! While spinning your wheels and talking about future solutions, you’re reducing energy consumption, environmental pollution and traffic congestion right now.

You quickly figure out that even everyday travel becomes a memorable adventure onboard a scooter. It is so much easier than a car for a daily commute into the city, a last-minute errand, a fast weekend trip to the  market – suddenly you’ll soon realise that you’ll look for reasons to twist the throttle and go. Do you have time for a change in your life? Then switch gears without ever shifting and take your scooter away for the weekend or a leisurely jaunt to destination unknown.Very impressive, indeed. Stuck in traffic? Your scooter is your traffic congestion escape clause.

You can get wherever you want riding with a minimum of fuel, a maximum of pleasure and plenty of storage space to bring your laptop or that gallon of organic orange juice or your belongings. For every mile traveled on your fuel-efficient scooter means you’ve made a lasting contribution to conserving your nation’s energy resources, the environment and other commuters who share the same road getting sick and tired of congestion.

As soon as you start riding a scooter , you will notice subtle changes.Your commute is shorter and more enjoyable. Stress evaporates away because riding your scooter is literally the easiest thing you'll do all day. You are making a lot of contribution  to ease traffic congestion and parking.

Why don’t you start your journey to freedom and fun? Just choose your scooter according to your style and determining how  to use it. Scooter engine sizes, which determine top speed, some range from 50cc to 250cc. Some, like the S 150 and the GTS 250, are suitable for the highway and quick trips around town as well. 50cc scooters are best for local riding. Talk to your local dealer to determine which Scooter is appropriate for you. After you've chosen your scooter, decide what accessories you need to complement your lifestyle. Remember to add a top case for more storage, get a second helmet for your co-pilot, make your scooter shine with chrome kits, and keep it safe and sound with a heavy duty lock and vehicle cover.Wow !! Off you go, guys!!

Of course, you know you are supposed to sign all the necessary paperwork with your dealer and register your Scooter with the DMV. Many dealers will help facilitate this on-site for a nominal charge.DMV.ORG Unofficial Guide to the DMV.

Secondly, you may need to take your Permit test. You may need a motorcycle license depending on your state's laws and scooter's engine size. You can call your local dealer or visit your state's DMV website to learn more. The permit test is as easy as  taking your car permit test when you were 16, which’s a similar test with questions specific to motorcycle/scooter driving. You can prepare for it by reading and digesting the relevant driver's manual which you can find on your state's DMV website.

New riders should take a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) RiderCourse. In many states, if you graduate from MSF RiderCourse, you can also qualify for lower insurance premiums and completion and of course passing the MSF course will give you your motorcycle license endorsement without having to sign-up for a road test. You can also be offered a Scooter School program, specifically designed for scooterists in some MSF locations. And in some states, you are allowed to take your rider test on a scooter.  You can check with your local dealer, MSF and DMV websites for details specific to your state.

Another important thing to do is to insure your Scooter. If you own a car, just add your scooter to your current policy. Don’t worry if you don't own a car, just ask your local dealer for some insurance company recommendations.
Just Twist n Go!
Why are you still here? Get outside and experience riding a scooter!! Enjoy the freedom
and fun !!
